Procedure and Charges for deposit of Potatoes at specified chamber(s) of Exchange designated Cold Storage s from March 2010 to October 20 10
Circular No.: MCX/C&S/052/2010 February 22, 2010 In terms of provisions of the Rules, Bye -Laws and Business Rules of the Exchange, the Members of the Exchange are notified as under:
All Members and/or their Constituents, who desire to deposit potatoes for delivery at Exchange platform are advised to note the below mentioned procedure/ conditions/ norms/ charges.
A. Procedure for Deposit
Potatoes deposited in specified chamber(s), of the Exchange designated cold storage, as appointed from time to time may be eligible for delivery only after fulfillment of all quality and other delivery/settlement procedure as specified by the Exchange from time to time.
Potatoes, inside the specified chamber(s), will be stored/ stacked as directed by the Exchange representative so as to make Potatoes easily accessible and identifiable. If potatoes are already stored inside the designated cold storage but not in the specified chamber(s), such potatoes need to be moved to a specified chamber(s) in the similar manner within stipulated time. Potatoes need to be deposited in the specified chamber(s) of the cold storage at least 10 days prior to the date of expiry of respective contract.
Fresh deposit of potatoes, in the specified chamber(s) of the cold storage, may not necessarily undergo the process of weighment. Fresh Deposits or the Potatoes already lying in the cold storage/ chamber(s), the weight of such lot/s will be certified on the basis of test weighment done at the weigh scale.
