  Procedure and charges for deposit of Medium Staple Cotton at Exchange a ccredited warehouses / delivery centers

In terms of provisions of the Rules, Byelaws and Business rules of the Exchange, the Members and their respective constituents are notified as under.

All members and their constituents, who desire to deposit Medium Staple Cotton for delivery on the Exchange are advised to adhere to the below mentioned procedure/conditions/norms/charges.

Minimum 2 working days prior intimation, in writing to the warehouse, is mandatory for enabling warehousing arrangements such as grading and storage arrangements. Based on the intimation received from the depositor, delivery schedule will be intimated by the warehouse supervisor. Loading and Unloading of bales will be on first cum first serve basis.

Medium Staple Cotton bales delivered should be well compressed and packed as per standard industry methods preferably with 100 to 120 grams/yard white twill cotton cloth (woven cloth) and adequate spiral bands. Hessian packaging, in good condition, would also be accepted. All sides of the packaging material may be stitched manually with minimum of 8 stitches on each side. The bales delivered should not bear any stains or should not be found contaminated with any other foreign matter which shall not be accepted for further storage. In case of any good found with false packing the entire lot shall be rejected.

The seller / depositor is required to submit the details of press running numbers and the lot numbers in advance to the warehouse before bringing the goods to the warehouse. The same shall be submitted along with details like pressing date, name and place of pressing, lot nos., press running number and supplier name at the time of deposit/delivery. Lot no. name, place of pressing and press running no. (PR no’s) is mandatory for printing on bales. The bales received and / or delivered at the warehouse would be determined at the weighbridge / weigh scale at the premises of the designated warehouse. Each and every bale will be weighed while deposit.

The warehouse will put in a deposit stamp containing the date of deposit of the goods on each and every bale deposited. Such goods with a stamp of the accredited warehouse cannot be retendered after the final expiry of the validity period.
