  Connectivity Disruption due to Sun-Outage

It has been informed to the Exchange by our VSAT Service Providers – HCL Comnet Ltd & Bharti Airtel Ltd. that there will be ‘Sun Outage’ (a satellite-related issue) every day from September 22nd, 2009 to October 9th, 2009 (both days inclusive). During this period, some of the Trading and Clearing members using VSAT for connectivity may face network related problems and/or loss of connectivity with the Exchange. In case of disconnection, the VSAT users may re log-in after interval of 5-10 minutes

Members are requested to kindly note that connectivity with the Exchange may be lost during above sun outage at different locations at different time depending upon the Service Provider i.e. HCL or Bharti and the type of VSAT i.e. KU Band or Extended C Band.

Summary of Sun Outage Timings for different Service Providers and VSAT types are provided in the below table.

The members who are using other mode of connectivity i.e. Internet, Leased Line, MPLS etc will not get impacted by the Sun-outage.

There would be no extension in the Trading Session timings during the above period.

Members are requested to kindly take a note of the above.
