Circular No: - NMCE/2009-10/0081   Date: - 24-Feb-2010

To,
The Members

In terms of the provisions of the Rules, Regulations and Bye-Laws of the Exchange, Members of the Exchange are notified as under:

The SkyEdge (SE) and SkyStar Advantage (SSA) VSAT network of HCL Comnet currently being used by our members for trading operates on INSAT 3B Satellite. Based on the intimation from Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) (copy attached), our VSAT service provider, HCL Comnet has informed that INSAT 3B has now reached end of life and hence all VSATs on their VSAT network need to be shifted from INSAT 3B to INSAT 3E immediately.

In view of the above, HCL Comnet has planned to shift all SkyEdge (SE) VSATs from INSAT 3B to INSAT 3E.

The VSAT shifting activity from INSAT 3B to INSAT 3E would involve re-alignment of VSAT antenna installed at member’s location. All members are advised to allow HCL Comnet engineers to align their VSATs to INSAT 3E. It will take about 2 hours to realign VSAT antenna for each site. The VSAT network shifting activity shall be carried out on all week days by HCL Comnet Engineers starting from February 20, 2010 and is intended to be completed in a week’s time for all members. HCL Comnet Engineers shall be directly co-ordinating with members for shifting their VSATs to INSAT 3E.

Members are requested to co-operate and help HCL Comnet Engineers to complete the above mentioned VSAT shifting activity. Members are requested to use their alternate backup connectivity during above VSAT shifting process in order to avail trading connectivity to Exchange.

Members are advised to note that SkyStar Advantage (SSA) VSATs will not be supported by HCL Comnet after March 15, 2010 i.e. SSA VSATs shall go out of service and hence the Exchange will continue only with SE VSAT technology for trading purpose.

HCL shall be charging a fee of Rs.2,500/- per VSAT site for carrying out the above mentioned re-alignment activity and members are therefore requested to pay the charges by Cheque/Demand Draft in favor of “HCL Comnet Limited”, directly to HCL Comnet Engineer visiting their site.

For further clarification, members are advised to contact HCL Comnet regional offices.

For and on behalf of
National Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Limited,
