Tiberon which accounts for a 70% stake in the mine urged the local government in October 2008 to setback the project production until 2010 pursuant to the global financial crisis. Analysts estimate the total cost of the project at around US$400 million.

The mine was anticipated to yield 4,788 metric tons of tungsten, 222,458 tons of fluorspar and 2,038 tons of bismuth per year.

Notably, Chinese demand for Tungsten is expected to rise 8.1%/ year from 2009 to 2013.
