PUNE (Commodity Online): It has been observed that maximum temperatures are above normal by 3-60C over west coast of India, 2-5 degree over Gujarat, west Madhya Pradesh, 2-4°C over Rajasthan, coastal Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, 2-3°C over interior Maharashtra, North eastern states and near normal over remaining parts of the country as per the observation in the last 24 hours.
Also northeasterly to northerly winds over east and peninsular India in lower levels expected while strong easterly/ northeasterly winds over Bay of Bengal and peninsular India will be the key.
KALPANA–1 cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of southeast Arabian Sea. Low /medium clouds are seen over parts of northwest, east, northeast and peninsular India.
Isolated to scattered rainfall activity over south peninsular India expected during next 24 hours and increase thereafter while isolated rainfall activity over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Maximum temperatures are likely to fall by 1-20C over parts of northwest and east India.
A feeble western disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan region from 3rd November onwards. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall activity over south peninsular India and coastal areas of Orissa and Andhra Pradesh is expected.
