As per the the Rabi crops acreage details released on November 23 by India Ministry of Agriculture, pulses acreage has fallen to 85.10 lakh ha compared to 92.49 lakh ha a year ago, Oilseeds have risen to 61.28 lakh ha compared to 58.58 lakh ha a year ago, while total rabi acreage has fallen to 280.59 lakh ha compared to 285.92 lakh ha last year.

Wheat acreage in 2012-13 is 91.88 lkah ha compared to 92.31 lakh ha the previous year while coarse cereals have fallen to 41.70 lakh ha (41.8 lakh ha) and rice at 0.64 lakh ha against 0.63 lakh ha last year.
