Mustard Seed may gain on improved demand
In the spot market,
Mustard Seed traded higher due to demand from the local stockists.
Arrivals of Mustard seed in Rajasthan were reported at 2.00 lakh bags (85 kg each) on Thursday.
As per Central Organisation for Oil Industry and Trade (COOIT), Domestic Rabi oilseed output estimates increased to 94.60 lakh tonnes this year, up 2.50 % from 92.30 lakh tonnes in 2008-09. Rape/mustard Seed output estimates increased to 63.20 lakh tonnes this year (up about 2%) against 62 lakh tonnes in 2008-09.
Spread between April and May contract is Rs 6.35 against previous day of Rs 4.30 per 20 Kg.
