Benchmark Unjha prices were quoted at steady rates due to steady arrivals of 5000-6000 bags against offtakes of 15000 bags on Thursday.
Prices at the futures traded in the rangebound manner and touched a high of Rs.13,628/qtl and settled marginally lower on Thursday.
Demand from the domestic stockists as well as overseas is expected in the coming days.
There are lower stocks of jeera at around 9 lakh bags as compared to 12 lakh bags in the previous year.
Jeera prices in the international market of various origins are as follows India quoting at $2,400/tonne, Syria and Turkey at $2,800/tonne whereas China was not offering the commodity.
