Spot prices at Nizamabad and Erode were quoted at steady rates due to lower arrivals on Wednesday.
Arrivals at the domestic mandis declined to 1500 bags and 600 bags at the Erode and Nizamabad mandis respectively.
Prices in the futures traded in sideways to up manner in the beginning of session but witnessed profit booking towards the end and settled the day negatively on Wednesday.
Demand from the overseas in small quantity is being placed. Demand from the north India has reduced. Domestic consumption of turmeric stands at around 3.5 lakh bags (each bag weighs 70kgs).
