Rupee ends higher for the week

Indian rupee ended trading for the week in green Friday on hopes of capital inflow from foreign institutional investors in view of rising trends in equity markets

The partially convertible rupee was seen trading at 47.89 per dollar at close, five paise higher than Thursday’s close of 47.94 per dollar.

Earlier, the rupee resumed lower at 48.10 per dollar and later fell further to a day's low of 48.19 before ending higher.
