Rupee ends slightly up at 47.89 per dollar

Indian rupee recovered to close slightly higher Wednesday as local stocks turned higher during the last session.

At close, the partially convertible rupee was at 47.89 per dollar as the dollar weakened against the euro overseas.

Earlier, the local unit resumed lower at 48.10 a dollar from its last close of 47.90 per dollar and later moved in a range of 47.88 per dollar and 48.14 per dollar during the day.
