Indian rupee opened in green Wednesday mainly on higher regional units and gains in Asian stock markets, which could prompt foreign investors to bring in more funds into the local market.

The partially convertible rupee was seen trading at 47.18 per dollar at 9.45 a.m, stronger than its previous close of 47.41 per dollar.
