Rupee opens in red as dollar recovers

Indian rupee opened in red Friday mainly on dollar recovery against major currencies abroad.

The partially convertible rupee was seen trading at 48.10 per dollar at 9.30 a.m, off an early low of 48.15 per dollar and weaker than Thursday's close of 47.95/96.

It had hit 47.74 in early trade in the previous session, its highest since June 16.
