Indian rupee opened slightly weaker against the dollar on Tuesday as the U.S. unit's fall against major currencies offset losses in regional stock markets.
The partially convertible rupee was seen trading at 47.01 per dollar at 9.15 a.m, weaker than its previous close of 46.96 per dollar.
