Trading volumes decline on NSE, MCX-SX

Currency Futures trading at the National Stock Exchange and MCX-SX witnessed low turnout Wednesday compared with figures on Tuesday.

1,14,441 Currency Futures contracts were traded Wednesday on the National Stock Exchange with a best buying price of Rs 48.8025 and selling price of Rs 50.0000 as against the RBI reference rate of 48.4300.

1,05,368 near future November contract were traded while surprising 502 contracts were traded for September 2009 delivery.

Meanwhile only 51747 currency contracts were traded Wednesday on the MCX-SX out of which 51,157 contracts was traded for immediate November delivery with a best buying price of Rs 48.7400 and selling price of Rs 48.8275.
