  Rupee opens in the red against dollar

  Indian rupee opened trading in the red against the dollar on Monday mainly due to greenbacks strength against some other Asian currencies.

At the forex market, the rupee opened lower at 43.23/24 from previous close of 43.01/02 a dollar.
