Rupee opens in the red against dollar |

Indian rupee opened in the red against the dollar in late morning trading Wednesday as demand for dollar by oil refiners hit its high amid a recent surge in crude prices.
At, 11.30 a, the partially convertible rupee declined to 43.83/84 a dollar in the morning deals, down 0.25 percent from Monday's close of 43.59/60.
