Barclays: Investor interest in PGMs weakens during December
LONDON (Commodity Online): Investor interest, as reflected by exchange-traded-product flows, has weakened for
Platinum group metals so far this month, said Barclays Capital in a research note.
According to Barclays, outflows from platinum ETPs have reached some 54,000 ounces already, compared to net redemptions of 4,800 ounces in November, and total metal held in trust is at its lowest since February.
Palladium outflows have hit some 21,000 ounces following outflows of 84,800 ounces in November. Total holdings are at their lowest since March of last year, Barclays concluded.
