LONDON (Commodity Online): US gas markets moved slowly higher on the day, finishing up two cents along the curve. This left the prompt, October contract at $3.83/MMBtu and calendar 2012 at $4.42.
Weather is, on balance, bearish. Hot weather in the lightly populated portions of the West is out-matched by cooler weather in the Southeast.
Another line of low pressure systems that could turn into storms will keep the market watching the weather news this week. Perhaps reflecting the weather, cash markets were down several points.
Henry Hub slipped seven cents, to $3.78, SoCalBorder was flat, holding at $4.00, while New York (Transco-Z6) gained a cent, to $4.02.
