LONDON (Commodity Online): Natural Gas prices carried over some upward momentum from the previous trading day and edged higher.
The prompt contract inched up by three cents, to $2.55/MMBtu, while the back of curve lifted higher.
The balance of calendar 2012 pushed up four cents, to $2.95, while calendar 2013 put on eight cents, to $3.67. Prices rallied despite the incrementally warmer weather outlook.
However, most of the incremental warmth forecast in the 6-15 day period was concentrated in the western region of the country.
Cash prices mostly increased, with Henry Hub up by 21 cents, to $2.60, while SoCal Border grew by eight cents, to $2.86. Transco-Z6 (NY) surged to 47 cents, to $3.38.
