MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Cardamom futures rose Thursday on short covering by the traders on the back of rising demand in the domestic markets amid limited stocks.
In MCX cardamom February contract is trading at Rs.671 per Kg, up by 0.55% on 15:55 IST against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.667-675 per quintal. Open interest of the contract is 3136 lots and volume traded is 5032 lots for the time being.
According to trade sources, arrivals are expected to decline in coming days as end of the harvesting season is approaching. Therefore, falling arrivals at spot market might also support bullish trend.
