MUMBAI (Commodity Online):Cardamom futures rose Monday as traders created fresh positions on the back of rising spot demand amid export demand.
In MCX Cardamom February contract is trading at Rs.733.60 per Kg, higher by 2.52 per cent on 15:05 IST against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.723-742.80 per Kg. Open interest of the contract is 1000 lots and volume traded is 2044 lots for the time being.
In current arrival season, despite of increased demand higher supply outweighed demand; but now as arrival season is coming to an end, supply-demand is becoming balanced supporting Cardamom prices to trade up.
