MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Cardamom futures rose Tuesday on fresh buying by the traders due to firm spot and export demand.
In MCX cardamom February contract is trading at Rs.701 per Kg, higher by 2.13 per cent on 14:20 IST against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.682.60-706.50 per Kg. Open interest of the contract is 3248 lots and volume traded is 7069 lots for the time being.
In current arrival season, despite of increased demand higher supply outweighed demand; but now as arrival season is coming to an end, supply-demand is becoming balanced supporting Cardamom prices to trade up.
