MCX mentha oil declines on profit booking
MUMBAI (Commodity Online):Mentha oil futures dropped Tuesday on as traders offloaded their positions on the back of poor demand in the spot markets.
In MCX mentha oil April contract is trading at Rs.1553.20 per Kg, down by 1.49 per cent on 15:30 IST against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.1518-1554 per quintal. Open interest of the contract is 444 lots and volume traded is 307 lots for the time being.
Elections in UP too reportedly affected the trading prospects as per traders. The trend is likely to remain volatile in the short term as the higher levels too have not been sustainable. But medium term sentiments look positive on an expected pick up in demand in coming weeks.
