MUMBAI (Commodity Online): NCDEX Maize (corn) for February delivery traded up 1.08% to Rs 1268.50 on Monday at 14:52 IST on higher overseas demand.
According to analysts, the commodity traded up on the back of high export demand as the prices are lower by $40-60 per tonne as against that of the US corn
India's Maize (corn) production may touch 21 million tons in the 2011-12 crop year (July-June), marginally lower than 21.28 million tons in the previous year.
In NCDEX, maize (corn) for March delivery traded up 0.94% to Rs 1291.50.
