NEW DELHI (Coomodity Online): NCDEX Sugar M grade traded up on strong demand and delay in cane crushing. Currently, the commodity for November delivery traded up 2.28% to Rs 2921 on wednesday at 14:25 IST.
According to the analysts, the delay in cane crushing in Uttar Pradesh led by dispute over cane price and strong buying has raised the priced of the sugar.
The expectations of exports to pick in coming weeks may also be the reason for the rise in price.
On the NCDEX, the Sugar M grade for december delivery traded up 1.50% or Rs 43 to Rs 2917.
