MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Barley futures gained Tuesday on fresh buying by the traders on the back of firm demand in the domestic markets.

In NCDEX barley January contract is trading at Rs.1222 per quintal, higher by 2.12 per cent on 15:55 IST against the previous close. In the earlier sessions the contract traded at a range of Rs.1223.20-1190 per quintal.

Marketmen said restricted supply against increased offtake in physical markets mainly influenced the trading sentiment.
