MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Coriander futures declined Tuesday on hopes of higher production concerns amid subdued spot as well as export demand.
In NCDEX coriander February contract is trading at Rs.3881 per quintal, down by 1.67 per cent on 15:45 IST against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.3855-3961 per quintal. Open interest of the contract is 15200 lots and volume traded is 4640 lots for the time being.
As per market source, the trading activities were limited in major spot markets as the traders are awaiting new crop arrivals. Meanwhile, supply concerns due to adverse weather conditions in major growing areas may limit sharp drop in prices.
Coriander acreage in Andhra Pradesh declined to 8506 hectares from 17968 hectares reported same period last year, showed latest data from the State Agriculture Department.
