MUMBAI (Commodity Online): NCDEX Jeera futures trades up in the morning hours on Thursday due to short covering.

In the exchange, jeera for February delivery traded up 0.92% to Rs 14760.

According to analysts, the demand for the commdity in the overseas market and the expectation of better output on account of favourable weather conditions prevailing in Gujarat and Rajasthan kept prices undertone. Jeera traded high on short covering in the spot market.

In NCDEX, jeera for March delivery traded up 0.62% to Rs 15001 on 9th February at 11:15 IST
