MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Kapas futures declined Wednesday on profit booking by the traders on the back of weak export and domestic demand.
In NCDEX kapas February contract is trading at Rs.853.80 per 20 Kg, down by 3.95 per cent on 14:45 against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.853.80-875 per quintal. Open interest of the contract is 54 lots and volume traded is 19 lots for the time being.
Lack of demand from China is keeping the exporter away from buying. Cotton arrivals from the new crop fell 14.1 percent to 16.62 million bales of 170 kg each, the Cotton Corporation of India said on Tuesday.
