MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Kapas futures fell Saturday on profit booking by the traders on the back of sluggish demand in the domestic markets.
At NCDEX kapas February contract is trading at Rs.718 per quintal, lower by 1.27 per cent on 11.30 AM against the previous close.
In the early sessions the contract traded at a range of Rs.710-723.70 per quintal. Open interest of the contract is 133 lots and volume traded is 10 lots for the time being.
Higher arrivals of fresh crop from the producing regions amid reduced offtake in the physical markets put pressure on Kapas futures.
