MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Maize futures gained Tuesday as traders created fresh positions on the back of firm demand from poultry industries. In NCDEX maize March contract closed at Rs.1199 oer quintal, up by 2.30%.
Maize December contract closed at Rs.1112.50 per quintal, higher by 0.22 per cent against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.1109-1115 per quintal. Open interest
of the contract stood at 9040 lots and volume traded is 1010 lots.
Fresh arrivals are expected to regain its momentum across the major physical markets limited the gain of near month contracts.
