NCDEX potato ends higher on seasonal demand
MUMBAI (Commodity Online):Potato futures regained on Friday as traders created fresh positions on the back of firm demand in the domestic markets for the ongoing marriage seasons.
In NCDEX
Potato March contract closed at Rs.712.10 per quintal, up by 1.06 per cent against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.699.90-716.80 per quintal. Open interest of the contract stood at 9870 lots and volume traded is 6795 lots.
Low amount of sowing expected in the next season, due to farmers shifting to other crops, because of unfavorable prices this season.
