MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Soybean futures rose Wednesday tracking global cues amid lower arrivals from the new crop.
In NCDEX soybean February contract is trading at Rs.2458 per quintal, up by 0.26 per cent on 16:50 IST against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.2456-2474 per quintal. Open interest of the contract is 207640 lots and volume traded is 69920 lots for the time being.
Lower production estimates by 4 million tons projected for South American regions might help the prices to recover from the lower levels. Over production in these two regions might be around 124 million tons compared to 128 million tons in previous year.
