Commodity Online MUMBAI: With the weak fundamentals such as better crop position in Syria and Turkey and the sluggish demand in the spot market, the jeera futures continued to being sold by traders on Thursday.
NCDEX July contract moved in the ranges of Rs 10,669-Rs 10,622 per 100 kg in today's early trading session. The counter currently quoted at Rs 10,632, down Rs 31 per 100 kg and the open interest in the contract added 0.62 percent, indicating short selling.
The export of Jeera during April-May 2009 dropped to 9,750 tonnes from 11,185 tonnes during the last year, recording a fall of 13 percent over the last year.
