Prices of select base metals rose up to Rs 15 per kg on the non-ferrous metal market in the national capital today largely on the back of firming trend in the London Metal Exchange.

Copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap traded Rs 5 each higher at Rs 289, Rs 310 and Rs 269 per kg respectively after metal prices rose by 0.92 per cent at LME to $4,940 per tonne.

Nickel (4x4) also turned better and traded Rs 15 higher at Rs 778-913 per kg, while lead ingot and lead imported gained Rs 2 each at Rs 93 and Rs 108 per kg.
