MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Cardamom futures rose at the MCX counter Friday as the demand for the commodity in the spot market is seen firm against the lower than expected stockpiles.
MCX cardamom for December-month contract rose b y 0.41 per cent to Rs 799.50 per kg in trading volume in two lots, while November contract went up by 0.18 per cent to Rs 823 per kg in business turnover in three lots.
As per the latest updates from STCL, Kumily , the average and maximum rates in the auction conducted on Thursday stood at Rs 692.00(Rs 699.60) and Rs 785.50(Rs 766.00) a kg and the arrivals in the auction stood at 19,939 MT and whole quantity sold( last week arrivals and sales stood at 29,752 kg).
