Jeera remain range bounded
The jeera futures traded in a very thin range in absence of active trade participation in the futures market.
Traders and investors were away from active trading on concerns of quality of the produce because active rainfall in many parts of Gujarat.
The active July contract jeera futures traded in the range of Rs.11870-12034 per quintal and settled at Rs.11903 per quintal, down by 0.66%.
Outlook
The jeera futures are expected to trade in a very thin range in absence of active trade participation
Market participants are having concern quality damage due to active rainfall in Gujarat
Jeera price of Syria improved to $2,580/tonne whereas Indian prices were being offered lower at around $2,500/tonne
Market participants are waiting for getting clear picture of Turkey and Syria crop Demand is average in the spot market as of now because of poor trade participation
The spot price is quoting at Rs.12050-12060 per quintal with arrivals reported at 4500 bags at Unjha spot market
According to Indian Spices Board, jeera price in international market quoted at $3.15 per kg during the week ended 4th June against $2.65 per kg in the same period a year ago
