Cardamom futures continued to decline on arrival sentiments from the major growing areas.

According to market sources, cardamom arrivals from the first picking is lower and crop size and quality is likely to improve from the next picking.

The current weather condition is favorable for harvesting. The domestic as well as export demand is expected to increase on seasonal buying ahead of festival season.

According to market sources the Guatemala cardamom production is expected around 20,000 tons and the previous average production is around 23,000 tons.

Recent storm and flood in Guatemala is also creating more worries about the crop output.
