Pepper futures ended up on last Saturday on firm spot prices and on low stocks of the commodity. Reports of fresh export enquiries from US were also support the market sentiment as well. The actively traded November futures varied in the range of 15,049 – 14,842 rupees before settle at 15,010 rupees.
Outlook Spot pepper anchored at 14,600 rupees per 100 kg in Kochi, a major trading hub in Kerala.
The most recent international pepper prices are India at 3300 dollar per tonne. Brazil is offering at 2950 dollar per tonne. Indonesian price is 3150 dollar per and Vietnam is selling at 3200 dollar per tonne.
Pepper stocks in Kochi, the accredited exchange ware house at 4,198 metric tons, compared with previous week's 4,360 tons.
India’s Pepper export in September up by 2 percent on year to 1,500 metric tones.
