LOS ANGELES: The California punk rock band CUBICLE has created a song and viral video appropriately entitled “Ponzi Scheme” to commemorate the sentencing of Bernie Madoff for the $65 billion Ponzi scheme that he admitted to running. “You say you want to make more cash? Step behind these velvet ropes, I’ll give you what you need… He ‘made off’ with our money. He ‘made off’ with our dreams. He messed up our lives with his Ponzi scheme,” go the lyrics in an opus as ridiculous as Mr. Madoff’s bogus investments themselves.
“We wanted to shed some additional light on dishonest business practices and how unethical decisions can impact everyone. Those who lost their savings in the Ponzi scheme aren't alone,” says the band CUBICLE.
