NEW DELIH (commodity Online): India's trade deficit rose to US$ 217663.66 million during the April-December 2011-12 period from US$ 172964.94 million same period last year, according to Ministry of Comerce and Industry.
The exports of the country stood at US$ 25015.89 million in December alone, while for the whole period (April- December 2011) stood at US$ 217663.66 million and imports for December, 2011 were valued at US$ 37753.36 million and for the whole period, stood at US$ 350935.69 million.
India's oil imports during December, 2011 were valued at US$ 10279.3 million, while for April-December, 2011-12 were valued at US$ 105588.7 million.
Non-oil imports for December, 2011 were estimated at US$ 27474.1 million for April - December, 2011-12 were valued at US$ 245347.0 million.
