Andriesen to head CME's agri-commodities division

CHICAGO (Commodity Online): CME Group has appointed Timothy Andriesen as Managing Director, Agricultural Commodities. Andriesen, 49, will be responsible for developing and executing the global business and sales strategy for the company's agricultural commodities product line. He will report to Barry Goldblatt, CME Group Managing Director, Commodities, Equities and Energy Products and will be based in Chicago.

"Tim's extensive experience in both over-the-counter (OTC) and listed agricultural commodities markets will be a tremendous asset to us as we continue to offer our customers around the world with leading products and risk management services," said Goldblatt. "As we continue to provide more OTC and listed futures products, Tim will take the lead in working with customers on how to best provide solutions for managing risk and price discovery."
