Commodity investments hit $178 bn in 2007

LONDON: Investments in commodities hit $178 billion in 2007, according to Barclays Capital. This was revealed in a survey of 260 institutional investors carried out by Barclays Capital.

Barclays Capital gave the data at a briefing in London on Monday Institutions such as pension funds have invested in commodity markets in recent years looking for high returns and diversification away from equity markets.

It has been recognized that the heat management is equally important as setting up a heat cooling system.
