Crompton Greaves to issue 3:4 bonus shares
MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Crompton Greaves Ltd (BOM:500093) has decided to issue a bonus of 3:4 to the company’s share holders. The company stocks gained on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) by 3.09% to Rs.455.05 ahead of the record date of the bonus issue.
The key benchmark index, Sensex turned negative at the opening hour at 16,927 down by close to 0.5%. Crompton stocks hit a high of Rs.458.35 so far during the day, which is a record high for the counter. The stock hit a low of Rs.441.40 so far during the day.
Get trading tips on your mobileThis is the third bonus issue from Crompton Greaves. Earlier, the company had issued a liberal 1:1 bonus in January 1990 and 2:5 bonus in December 2006.
Crompton Greaves' net profit surged 59.8% to Rs.135.43 crore on 13.3% rise in net sales to Rs.1223.76 crore in Q3 December 2009 over Q3 December 2008. Crompton Greaves is engaged in providing power systems, consumer products and industrial systems.
