Global oil majors show interest in Ugandan blocks
KAMPALA (Commodity Online): US based Exxon Mobil and France based Total have shown interest on having stakes in Dominion Petroleum, one among the four firms exploring oil in Uganda.
Dominion Petroleum spoke person Archie Berens, told reporters that Exxon Mobil and Total have interest in the block that lay in the western zone of Uganda.
Dominion has identified four wells with oil prospects and also noted 11 leads which require further exploration. Its largest prospective area has about 400 million barrels of recoverable oil, according to the company.

Through the sale, Dominion is seeking partners to finance the next stage of its exploration operations next year.
