Good Earth Winery launches new range of wines
MUMBAI (Commodity Online): The city's high-profile wine lovers converged on Olive Bar & Kitchen (Khar, Mumbai), for the formal launch of Good Earth Winery's range of "super premium" wines.
Girish Mhatre, founder of Good Earth Winery and Karen Anand, celebrity chef and writer on the international gourmet circuit, and adman Prahlad Kakkar jointly hosted the event.
Karen Anand welcomed the guests and introduced Good Earth Winery. Girish Mhatre introduced the brands: Aarohi (2008 Sauvignon Blanc), Brio (2008 Shiraz Reserve) and Basso (2008 Cabernet Reserve) and also talked about what makes Good Earth Winery unique in terms of its business philosophy and ambitions.
Girish Mhatre, founder of Good Earth Winery says, "Our goal is to demonstrate that fine wine is the gateway to a broader epicurean experience that encompasses food, music, art and other cultural pursuits. Wine uniquely enhances - and is enhanced by - the cultural ambience. That's well understood in many parts of the world for a thousand years, but is still dormant in the Indian consciousness. You might say that we hope to wake India up to this way of thinking."
Karen Anand, Celebrity chef and writer says "I strongly believe that somebody like me who has been working and pioneering gourmet food and wine in India should support Indian wine. Good Earth Winery products are the best I have experienced in India and I am delighted to be associated with them."
