MICHIGAN, USA: McCormick & Co. has selected St. Joseph, MI-based Hanson Logistics to provide logistics management services out of Hanson’s Benton Harbor, MI Logistics Center. Hanson will handle McCormick’s leading industrial restaurant chain clients.

Hanson Logistics is providing services such as inventory management on product arriving from McCormick’s plants in South Bend, IN, and Hunt Valley, Maryland, and transportation services, including local truck load and shuttle services. Hanson ships McCormick’s product to foodservice distribution centers across the U.S, a company release said. 

Hanson and McCormick are working together to establish a partnership based on a commitment to continuous improvement through the establishment of key performance indicators and metric review meetings. McCormick will track cycle counts, the processing of inbounds and outbounds, case fill rates and EDI performance.

Hanson has made extensive improvements to its Benton Harbor, MI, facility to meet the high quality standards that McCormick’s customers require, the release added.
