Heat wave in Vidarbha to decline
Commodity OnlinePUNE : Under the influence of a western disturbance, scattered to fairly widespread precipitation activity is likely over western Himalayan region during next 2-3 days.
Plains of northwest India are also likely to experience scattered thundershower activity during the same period. Isolated thunder squall with surface wind speed exceeding 60 Km/hour accompanied with hailstorm is also likely over the entire region during next 2-3 days.
Heat wave conditions are prevailing over Vidarbha past 24 hours. Meteorological analysis suggests that they are likely to abate during next 48 hours.
Current meteorological analysis and numerical weather prediction models suggest, scattered to fairly widespread rain/thundershowers activity with isolated thunder squall is likely over northeastern states during next 3-4 days.
NORTH WEST INDIA[J & K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjay, Haryana, Delhi, West UP)
Rain/thundershowers are likely at many places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Rain/thunderstorm is likely at a few places over Punjab and Uttarakhand. Isolated rain/thunderstorms are likely over the rest region
EAST INDIA(East UP, Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal and Sikkim)
Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely over West Bengal & Sikkim, Orissa and Jharkhand. Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
NORTHEAST INDIA(Arunachal Pradesh, NMM& T, Assam, Meghalaya)
Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places over the region during next 24 hours and at many places thereafter.
SOUTH INDIA(Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, A&N Islands, Lakshwadeep)
Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, south Tamil Nadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
WEST INDIA(Goa, Maharashtra(except Vidharbha), Gujarat, Rajasthan)
Isolated rain/thunderstorms are likely over Rajasthan. Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
CENTRAL INDIA(Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Vidarbha(part of Maharashtra)
Isolated rain/thunderstorm is likely over west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh from 7th onwards. Mainly dry weather is likely over the rest region.
